- Good day! My name is David Bain. I have made my living for the past 25 years in the transportation business but my 'hobby passion/obsession' is the study and teaching of psychology and philosophy. I do this primarily through my network of some 50 blogsites, called 'Hegel's Hotel: Where Philosophers and Psychologists Meet. I have been working on Hegel's Hotel for almost 5 years now and have about a thousand essays to show for my work/hobby. The particular brand of philosophy-psychology and 'psychoanalysis' I write about I call 'DGB Integrative Philosophy-Psychology and Psychoanalysis. This is an integration of all 50 years of Freud's work, as well as different elements of Jung's, Adler's, Perls', Bernes', Masson's, as well as many of the great philosophers: Hegel, Nietzsche, Anaximander, Heraclitus, Spinoza, and more...I am partly trained in both Adlerian Psychology and Gestalt Therapy. I have a long-running love relationship of 11 years and counting with my girlfriend, Sharida; and two great adult children, Michael, 26, and Jennifer, 21, each with one child, Alexis, almost 7, and Nathan, about 4 months old. My parents are retired and living in Prince Edward Island.
